Responsibilities

Microsoft’s UX designers define, articulate, and deliver impactful design solutions. In this role you will help us craft modern, human-centered, and inclusive experiences for millions of people worldwide.  You will dive deep into our customers’ needs and behaviors to get insights, turning them into design deliverables that align with their goals and our business requirements. You will partner closely with research, product, engineering, and other design teams to iterate and deliver the right solutions together.   

Qualifications

  • Current authorization to work in the United States or residency in the country location of your cohort before the start of your cohort. 
  • Have 6 months minimum of related working experience, and or equivalent transferrable technical and or design (UX) skills in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Communication Arts, Information Design, or equivalent experience 
    that were acquired through either a nontraditional degree, community college, coding bootcamp, academy and or technical certification(s).
  • Must be currently participating in Microsoft Leap Apprenticeship Program and are close to completion. 
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements for this role.  These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 
  • Some proficiency with common design tools (Figma, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.).
  • Must have URLs for an online portfolio demonstrating your UX process, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes in addition to your resume.
